About Me

Meet Grace – Those limbs are made for sofas

A gentle soul in search of a warm sofa.

Grace is a beautiful, delicate greyhound who has found her way back into our care through no fault of her own, following the sudden loss of her adoptive owner. She’s an incredibly easy going girl who simply wants a comfy sofa, a quiet home, and a pair of loving legs to lean against.

After retiring from racing, Grace came to us at WARS and later found a loving home, where she learned all about life as a pet. This means she’s already housetrained, a rare treat in an ex-racing greyhound! She knows to do her business outside and is used to the rhythms of home life.

Grace is calm and relaxed around other dogs and could potentially live with another dog, depending on introductions here at the shelter. She could also live with respectful children aged 7+. She needs a reasonably sized garden to roam in.

Grace isn’t a high-energy dog she enjoys short walks, then is more than happy to curl up for a nap. She’s currently a little overweight, but she’s on a gentle weight loss plan to get her back to a healthy size and support her long-term wellbeing.

With her long legs and loving heart, Grace will make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a quiet, loyal, and low-maintenance friend.
