Come along to a WARS Coffee Morning.
Join us for a cuppa and a slice of cake in the community room at the shelter.
Not forgetting a good old chat, a spot of shopping in our Charity Shop and the chance to win a prize on our tombola, all in support of the shelter.
Our coffee mornings run from 11am to 1pm , and we have the following scheduled for 2026:
WARS Fun Dog Show and Fete
We can’t wait to welcome you back to our Family Fun Day and Dog Show on Sunday 7th June 2026.
We have a dog agility course and a chance for shopping, with craft stalls and other local charity pop-up stalls.
Refreshments will be available, along with a BBQ and the chance to win raffle and tombola prizes.
Our 2026 Dog show will run from 11am with gates opening for entry to the public from 10.30am.
If you would like to know more about our Dog Show, would like to help out on the day, or you are able to support us by sponsoring an event or donating a raffle prize, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Thank you all for attending last year’s very wet dog show. Funds raised are vital to keep the shelter going. Here is hoping next year will be a nice sunny day

Meet and greet Santa for a professional photo with your dog – emailed to you ready for Christmas.
Enjoy some Christmas shopping, enter our raffle and Doggy Tombola.
Not to mention a non-alcoholic mulled wine, hot chocolate, tea or coffee, along with some sweet treats!
Santa Paws 2026, will run 11am to 3pm on Saturday the 28th of November
Please Note: We hold a ‘quiet’ hour for nervous and reactive dogs between 2-3pm. Email info@wars.org.uk to book a slot for your nervous or reactive dog.
