Meet our gorgeous kittens Messmer & Malenia

These gorgeous babies have had a bit of a tough start in life. Born as strays, they had to fend for themselves during those really important first few weeks. Thankfully, at around five weeks old, they came into WARS care and we were able to get them safely into a lovely foster home.

Their foster carer has been working incredibly hard to show these little ones that us humans really aren’t so bad after all! They’re learning that a home can be a safe, calm and predictable place, filled with kindness, patience and lots of love. They’ve all made some really lovely progress and have now completed their essential vet care, so they’re ready to start looking for their forever homes.

As a trio, we’ve spent lots of time watching their individual personalities and relationships develop, and we feel that Messmer and Malenia need  a home together. Malenia really helps his sister to feel more confident, and they have a beautiful bond.

Messmer is still a little shy and will need patient, understanding adopters who are happy to give her the time she needs to blossom. She’s now at the stage where she’ll happily take treats from your hand, enjoy some playtime and sit nearby watching what you’re up to. She’s making lovely progress, but she’ll need her new family to continue building her confidence at her own pace.

Her brother Malenia is also still quite nervous, but he has come on leaps and bounds. He absolutely adores to play and you’ll often find him snuggled up with his beautiful sister. With the right home, we’re sure he’ll continue to grow in confidence.

We feel these two would be best suited to a home with older people, aged 12 and above, with calm and patient owners who understand that building trust can take a little time. They will be incredibly rewarding little cats for the right family.

Messmer and Malenia could also live with other cats, but no dogs. We feel their bond with each other makes them particularly well suited to finding their forever home together.
