King finds himself at WARS after being retired from racing. He is still pretty young with plenty of energy and a spring in his step.
He is an excitable young boy and does have a lot of energy, however remember that greyhounds don’t need hours and hours of walking, they are usually happy with a good 45 mins once or twice a day and then enjoy a nice nap on your sofa. He does have bundles of energy and loves to walk and play with his friends here at WARS, both dogs and humans. He also loves a good treat to occupy his time in the kennel when he is resting.
King is the cheekiest of all of the greyhounds we have here, he is still so young and full of beans. He will pick up anything if it can fit in his mouth.
An ideal home for King would be with a family with children aged 14+. He could possibly live with another suitable dog however no cats or small furries.
His new family will need to understand that it may take him some time to settle in and that he has never been in a house before so some basic training will be beneficial. It will all be worth it in the end. He is going to be a really active dog and need plenty of exercise and training. If your looking for a lazy greyhound, this is not the dog for you. he needs a home who is willing to put in some work to help him to adjust into an everyday pet dog lifestlye.
King is a greyhound that has previously been raced. Greyhounds themselves tend to be quiet and calm, enjoying the creature comforts of home mixed with a few walks here and there. Flash is no different. He like most greyhounds is rather sensitive and docile so will need to be trained with a calm and light hand with plenty of praise over vocal correction.
