About Me

Meet wonderful Roody, this boy has had a big journey with us and is looking for a new home to rest his paws. Roody was brought in on Christmas eve as a stray in a terrible state and needed urgent medical treatment, it’s been a road to recovery for this lovely boy and he is now stronger and able to start looking for a family to call his own. Roody needs a home with no other pets and an adult only home, he would suit a home that’s had larger breeds before.

Roody is looking for a loving content adult only home, where he can rest his paws after a tough life and ordeal lately. Roody is very people orientated and enjoys company, he doesn’t realise his size when he wants a cuddle! Roody can be a strong boy so it’s really important his new family have experience in larger breeds, and have positive training methods.

Roody needs a home with no other pets, and will need to continue building up walks and encounters with dogs, he shows signs of being a little uncomfortable when overwhelmed, so he shouldn’t be put into situations where he is forced to interact with many dogs, he is calm around other dogs and is starting to walk with some familiar friends to help build his confidence slowly. Roody, is very food motivated and enjoys learning! He is still gaining weight and learning his basic manners, so he does need patient and understanding owners in his new home.

Roody is an older boy, and due to his hard life he does need just gentle exercise and a good quality diet and some joint supplements.

Can you offer Roody a place to call home?
