About Me
Meet Polly Pocket, this little lady was brought into us a stray sadly like many bull breeds this year she faced being abandoned.
Polly was shut down and worried when she came into our care, she is a sensitive lady but a gentle playful soul and once you’re Polly’s friend she is your friend for life!
She has been working hard with her project partner on the team, and learning lots of vital skills and decompressing so she is ready to find her forever family and Polly is completely different to the day she entered WARS she is now a happy thriving girl.
Polly may be small in height around the size of a standard Staffordshire Bull Terrier, she is a strong girl and needs her new family to be able to comfortably hold her.
Polly is intelligent and enjoys learning, and loves the car! She is looking for an adult only home with no other pets although she does have some dog friends she walks with at the shelter, however as she had evidence of having a litter at a young age so she most likely hasn’t had much positive experiences with other dogs so we have been building her confidence and skills so she can enjoy nice peaceful walks with calm dog friends. This is something she needs to continue in her new home.
Polly loves company, and would ideally suit an Adult only home where she would be left no longer than 3-4 hours to begin with while she gets into a good solid routine.
As Polly has likely not had much vet experience or if she has it may have bene under stressful circumstances we have been working on her veterinary handling skills, she has done really well and out vets have been super gentle and understanding with Polly and it’s vital her new family in the future will follow our advise and advocate for Polly if she is uncomfortable to keep her safe.
Can you offer this gentle happy girl her forever home?
