Tommy has recently retired from racing and now find himself looking for his forever home. He is a typical retired Greyhound, he likes to plod along on his walk and is a gentle giant. He does like a little burst of speed, chasing a tennis ball in the playpens and then he is not sure what to do next. He is a little unsure of some things, so needs to slowly be introduced to new situations and people, but don’t be put of by this as he soon grows in confidence and becomes more comfortable. He is also a very good leaner, so don’t move too quickly or he may fall over.
Tommy will want a nice comfy home to see out his retirement years. He will need a good couple of walks a day and could possibly live with another suitable dog, however, no cats or small furries. He would like a fully enclosed garden to sunbathe in if possible. He could live with children 10+
Tommy is a greyhound that has previously been raced. Greyhounds themselves tend to be quiet and calm, enjoying the creature comforts of home mixed with a few walks here and there. Tommy is no different. He like most greyhounds is rather sensitive and docile so will need to be trained with a calm and light hand with plenty of praise over vocal correction.
