Thomasina has come in from a home as sadly her owners were no longer able to care for her. She is a sweet little girl, a small, diddy cat, but perfectly formed. She is calm and gentle but her owners have said she is natural born hunter! She loves her Dreamies and a nice head and neck tickle, from anyone who is paying her a visit. Photo by WARS
Thomasina will want a home where she will have eventual access to the outdoors. She will want the freedom to come and go as she pleases. She is a hunter so will need a family who are happy to deal with the occasional present in the house. Also due to this she will be best suited to rural location away from busy roads.
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch mat or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home.
