Teddie has just arrived from the Lakeland Trailhound Welfare after not quite making the grade and Trailing. He is a sensitive boy with not one nasty bone in his body. He is taking his time getting used to the staff and volunteers but his friend Nell is helping him acclimatise.
Teddie will need calm and patient owners who are willing to give Teddie the time and space needed for him to blossom into his new home. His new owners would need to be around for large parts of the day and be willing to continue basic obedience training. He would require an ample sized garden for him to run about in and a sunny spot to relax in. A comfy corner of a sofa to curl up in at night would put a smile on his face. He could live with children of a suitable age and another compatible dog.
Trailhounds are very adaptable dogs who make very good family pets. They have fantastic temperaments and tend to be great around children, other dogs and other animals. They need plenty of exercise but in once in the home love nothing more than curling up in front of the fire. They do however, love a smell.. so their noses are likely to be found centimetres off the ground, so recall often needs some work. They are relatively quick learners who are highly motivated by food.
