Tabitha has come in to WARS as she was not getting on with the other cats in the home. She is a shy girl and loves to hide in her igloo bed. But she happily accepts fuss and attention, usually greeting you with a deep miaow.
Tabitha will need to be the only pet in the home. She would be suited to a home with older children. Once settled she will want eventual access to the outdoors, but be warned, she is a prize hunter.
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch mat or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home.
