This is Spud. He came to WARS as a stray and was unfortunately never claimed. He is a lovely lad, very affectionate and always carrying a big smile on his face. Like most staffs, he isn’t coping brilliantly in the kennels but with the support of all our volunteers and some canine buddies of his, we are in no doubt he’ll be in a loving home soon enough. He loves nothing more than a cuddle on a sofa with our staff and volunteers and nice gentle ambles around and off site. He is desperate to make some doggy friends and is learning he can’t go bounding into everything at 152mph
Spud would enjoy a homely environment where he could be a big part of the family. His owners would need to be around for large parts of the day and be able to provide Spud with lots of exercise and mental stimulation. He would also require an ample sized garden. He could live with another compatible dog and children of a suitable age but no cats or small furries.
Staffordshire Bull Terriers typically love people and approach the world with an exuberant and enthusiastic attitude. They naturally enjoy training and games but can need some help to learn calmer behaviours
