Socks and Sparkles find themselves at WARS through no fault of their own. They are a little shy but will gain in confidence as they get to know new people. Being young they like to play, either with toys provided or each other. Once they know you they love lots of fuss and cuddles.
Socks and Sparkles will need to be rehomed together. They have not been used to children in their previous environment, so we feel a home with children 10+ who are calm will be suitable. They will be best as the only pets in the home. Once they have settled they would want access to the outside, so a home away from busy traffic would be ideal.
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch mat or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home.
