Shi originally came into WARS as a stray. he did find a home but sadly was returned due to ill health within the family. His family sent us these point below to tell us what he is like in a home.
Very friendly even with new people, can be playful, especially likes string and mice, loves catnip, likes to catch flies, very relaxed, rarely stressed, purrs a lot, loves being stroked and brushed, can be picked up easily, loves to roam and explore, good with children, litter box trained, loves food!! Will eat everything, all round easy going, happy and friendly cat .
Shi is a lovely boy who would suit a family living in a ruralish area, so once he hasa settled he can go outside and roam and hunt.
Shi would be best suited to a home set in a rural or semi rural area. We feel once he has settled he is going to walk fields to roam around in and hunt. He could live with a family with children 10+ but no other pets, as he will want all the attention for himself.
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch mat or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home.
