Shi came into WARS after being found as a stray and we were unable to find an owner. He was in a bit of a state when he came in, with scabs on his body, quite thin and matted. From the moment he came in he has ben desperate to get out an explore and always tries to sneak out of his pen if given the chance. He is a friendly boy who enjoys meeting people and making friends. Shi will want a home where he will have eventual access to the outdoors. He will want the freedom to come and go as he pleases, and we would not be surprised if he was abit of a hunter, so a rural location away from busy roads would be more suitable.
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch mat or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home.
