Samuel has come into WARS after his owner moved somewhere where she could not take him. He is a sweet old boy, who is a bit of a ladies man. He does like to have a good podder outside and will happily go off hunting given the chance. Photo by WARS
Samuel will need a home, preferably with a single female or a couple. He will want eventual access to the outdoors once he has settled into his home. He could live with older children 12+ but we feel he would prefer to be the only pet in the home.
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch mat or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home
