Rocco was re-homed from WARS back in 2015. Unfortunately due to change in circumstances his current owners are no longer able to give him the time that he deserves. Although Rocco is very settled at his current home he is not living his life to the fullest. His current owners are looking to re-home Rocco to somewhere that can satisfy all off his needs.
Rocco need to be mentally stimulated for at least an hour a day, purely putting him on a lead and walking around the park is simply not enough. Rocco would be placed in a home whereby he can learn a new skill, for example cannicross, agilty etc. He is good in the home and is house trained and doe snot chew furniture, providing that he has been out and he has been made to think a lot then generally he will just sleep at home. He is quite independent and likes to take himself off to a quiet place in the house in order to catch up on his rest.
Rocco is very good on the lead and he will even run alongside a bike which he currently does quite often. He has been camping (Stayed in his own compartment), been on a boat, London bus and travelled up and down the country. He has walked a couple of mountains and he absolutely loves to run. Rocco does have some recall providing that there are no distractions around, so its usually safer to just keep him on the lead.
Rocco has not been aggressive to any other dog or person, he is currently living with a British Bull dog and they get on extremely well, Rocco is definitely more interested in dogs than humans. Rocco has also lived with a cat which took a little getting used too but once the excitement went they were laying on the floor together sleeping. Ideally Rocco needs to have another dog as companion or someone who will always be with him. Rocco can be left however if he is on his own then he needs to be in a crate or Kennel. He is able to get of crates so they need to be secured properly. He currently sleeps in the utility room with locked doors and is able to see his friend the bull dog.
Rocco is great with children and is always very gentle, he has never been aggressive to another dog or human. The only time that he needs to be on his own away from other dogs is at feeding time. However he will let humans approach him and his food without any problems. Rocco is a great dog and has a lot of love to give, he will work hard for anyone that has the time patience and trust. He will take some time to trust his new owner and settle into his new environment but once he has then he will be your companion and protector for life.
