Nala came to us from a vets after having an injury to her leg. The previous owner relinquished ownership of her at this point therefore she has come to us. She is in her last part of her recovery but is doing very well. She is a lovely, friendly girl, but can be a little shy at times. Due to her leg issues, exercise has to be managed so she does not do more damage, but she copes well with this. She is comfortable in the company of other dogs, as long as they are calm and not overly bouncy.
Currently on foster
Nala is a very energetic young girl due to this she will need some training and possibly puppy classes. She is a bit of a cheeky girl displaying behaviours that would be more suitable for an experienced dog owner.
Nala has not discovered what she thinks of children yet, however, due to her shy nature we believe she will need to be in a home with calm older children.
Lurchers are crossbreeds so their temperaments and behaviours can be influenced by other breed traits. Like most Lurchers, Nala would enjoy a good snooze in front of the fire in between racing around the garden. Being young, she is still learning but is bright eager to learn more so dog training classes would be strongly advised. She, like many Lurcher types has a strong prey drive so it’s important that this is channelled in the right way.
