Monty came in with Lola as sadly their owner passed away. We took the decision to rehome them separtly and they seem much happier in their own company. Monty is a confident, independent boy, who does enjoy fuss and tickles but usually on his own terms and will happily spend time in his own company.
Monty would be best suited to a quiet home with no other animals, and older, calm children. He will want eventual access to the outdoors once he has settled.
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch mat or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home.
