Mitzy came into WARS with Tiger, when they owner was to unwell to care for them. Tiger had a habit of pouncing on Mitzy and she was becoming a little fed up with it so we decided it would be best to separate to avoid stress. She can be a little shy when she first meets new people so needs a nice gentle approach so she can get to know people. She is a calm, gentle girl who likes some fuss and attention and also to curl up and doze.
Mitzy will want eventual access to the out doors once she has settled. She would be best suited to an area with low traffic volume. She can be a little shy so needs a calm home to settle into, with no other pets so she can get all the attention. She could live with children 8+ as long as they understand to give her some time to settle in.
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch mat or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home.
