Millie has come into WARS as sadly her owners could no longer care for her. She is a sweet girl with bundles of energy. She has made lots of friends already at WARS and is a very sociable girl, with people and with other dogs. Being a Lurcher type, she loves to have a mad run around and bounce, and then likes nothing more than mooching on a sofa. She does need some more training, which the staff are helping her, but she is a bright girl and up for learning new things.
Millie will need a fairly active home, where she will have time and space to bound around. She would be best suited as an only dog and with no cats or small furries. However, she would love regular access to other dogs to play and socialise with. She could live with older, calm children and with a family who will continue her training and socialisation. She will need a fully enclosed garden with 6ft fencing surrounding.
Millie is a Lurcher type. Lurchers are crossbreeds so their temperaments and behaviours can be influenced by other breed traits. Like most Lurchers, Millie enjoys a good snooze in front of the fire in between racing around the garden. Being young, she is still learning but is bright eager to learn more so dog training classes would be strongly advised. She, like many Lurcher types has a strong prey drive so it’s important that this is channelled in the right way.
