Macy originally came into WARS after found to be not great at racing. She was rehomed last year, but sadly finds herself back at WARS through no fault of her own. She is a sweet girl, who can find some situations a little worrying so at times needs to be introduced slowly to new things. In saying that, she often does not hesitate to put her front paws on you to say hello. She loves to meet other dogs, especially trailhounds and having another trailie around does help her with her confidence.
Macy could possible live with another compatible dog, possibly another trailhound, or be content as an only pet . She will want an active family who are willing to take her to training and socialsation classes. She will need a fully enclosed garden with 6ft fencing around. She would be best suited to a adult home or one with older, calm children
Trailhounds are very adaptable dogs who make very good family pets. They have fantastic temperaments and tend to be great around children, other dogs and other animals. They need plenty of exercise but in once in the home love nothing more than curling up in front of the fire. They do however, love a smell.. so their noses are likely to be found centimetres off the ground, so recall often needs some work. They are relatively quick learners who are highly motivated by food.
