Lilly has come from a home with an elderly owner who was struggling to keep her. Her toilet training will need some work. She is very affectionate and loves people however, she can be a shy girl. She is a sweet natured little girl who walks with a bit of a diva strut. She is a bit of a lap dog and will happily jump on a lap and sit there for the foreseeable future. She is a little wary of other dogs, but only if they are big and bouncy, she does not want to risk being squished. Otherwise, she is comfortable in the company of other dogs.
Currently on foster
Lilly would love a calm household where she can relax without too much excitement. She would be better suited to an adult home, however she could live with another suitable dog or potentaially calm and confident cats.
Like many small dogs, Chihuahuas are less likely than large dogs to be given obedience classes, socialization, or appropriate exercise and training. However, they thrive well when given appropriate socialization and training. The breed tends to be fiercely loyal to one particular person and in some cases may become overprotective of the person, especially around other people or animals.
