Kizzy sadly finds herself looking for her forever home due to not oping in the previous home. She does suffer from separation anxiety, so really does not cope well being left alone. She is a sweet natured little girl who is gaining in confidence and loves meeting new people especially if you have a treat. She can often be found sticking her nose into things just to see if there is anything interesting to be found. She has learnt a few basic commands, but as with most trailhound she requires patience and time and you will soon be rewarded.
Kizzy will need an active family home with owners that would be willing to continue with her general obedience and recall work. She will need someone at home with her most of the time. She will need an ample sized and well enclosed garden to run about in and a cosy fire to curl up beside in the evening. She would benefit from living with another compatible dog and could also live with cats and children of a suitable age.
Trailhounds are very adaptable dogs who make very good family pets. They have fantastic temperaments and tend to be great around children, other dogs and other animals. They need plenty of exercise but in once in the home love nothing more than curling up in front of the fire. They do however, love a smell.. so their noses are likely to be found centimetres off the ground, so recall often needs some work. They are relatively quick learners who are highly motivated by food.
