Jasmine has come into WARS from another rescue, after she was found as a stray. She is a shy little girl, who needs time and patience to get to know new people. Poor thing can jump at her own shadow sometimes. She is so gentle and delicate, and she is slowly becoming more comfortable meeting new people. She does’t know many commands, so basic training has begun with the staff, however, this is taking a little while due to her shyness. Don’t be fooled though, once she knows you she really is the sweetest little girl and we do hope over time more of her character will shine through.
Jasmine will need a calm, patient and quiet home, possibly adult only or older children. She could live with another calm dog however no cats or small furries. She will need a fully enclosed garden, with 6ft fences surrounding. She would benefit from training and socialisation classes.
Lurchers are crossbreeds so their temperaments and behaviours can be influenced by other breed traits. Like most Lurchers, Jasmine would enjoy a good snooze in front of the fire in between racing around the garden, once she has settled. Being young, she is still learning but is bright eager to learn more so dog training classes would be strongly advised. She, like many Lurcher types may have a strong prey drive so it’s important that this is channeled in the right way.
