Izzy has come in from a home as her owners could no longer care for her. She is a friendly girl who gets very excited when she meets new people, especially when you have a tennis ball. She can be a little bit shy and nervous of new situations on environments, so we are keen to find her a home soon. She just loves to play in the play pens with a tennis ball and will always bring it back and throw it at your feet to throw again.
Izzy will love a nice family home where she has ample opportunity to play and chase her tennis ball. Even though she is not that big she can be strong on the lead so will need a family who can handle this. We feel she would benefit from training and socialisation classes, so her new family must be willing to undertake this. She could live with children 12+. She loves being around people so a family who are home for a good part of the day would be ideal. She will need a secure garden to play and mooch in. She would be best as the only pet in the home
Izzy is a cross breed so its worth checking out which breeds are in her ancestry as she may show traits of either or both.
Izzy is definitely part Spaniel who are known for their high energy and who need plenty of activity, but also time to chill out and relax. They will typically enjoy carrying things around in their mouths and finding things to carry, so provide plenty of toys and teach a good retrieve.
Izzy’s is also part Terrier. They are typically clever, quick little dogs who are reluctant to back down from a threat. They should enjoy training and problem solving, but are also likely to enjoy barking, digging and killing toys by shaking and shredding them. Despite their small size, terriers require plenty of exercise both physical and mental.
