Hope came into WARS as a stray and despite being chipped we have not managed to track down her owners. She is a sweet, but shy little girl who just needs a patient approach to allow her to get to know you. She definitely needs an experienced home, who understand how cats can be and want their independence. Whilst she does enjoy fuss and attention when she can get if, if she has had enough she give you a gentle tap to say she is done, thank you.
Hope will need a nice quiet home where she has time to find her little paws and to not be overwhelmed. She will want eventual access to the outdoors once she has settled but would love a nice warm cozy igloo bed to come and and doze the days away in. She would be best suited as the only pet in the home and could live with calm children 12+
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch mat or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home
