Hens

We are now helping to rehome ex-battery hens. These girls really deserve to have a free-range homefor the rest of their lives, after a short life so far being used just to produce eggs. If they don't find new homes they will be sent to slaughter at about 18 months old.

We would like to thank the staff at the British Hen Welfare Trust who helped and advised us in preparing for this new venture.

We had our first Rescue Day on 22nd October 2012 and rehomed 97 ex-battery hens.

We have now rehomed 290 hens in total, which is a really good start!
