Ed finds himself at WARS as he was a slow racer so retired early. He is a super friendly boy who is not afraid to say hello to new people and dogs alike. He is strong and has no manners as yet, not at all worried to jump straight up at everyone he meets. He needs to work on his basic training which the staff are already starting to help him with.
Ed could live with another suitable dog and possibly a dog savvy cat. He could live with children 8+, he may knock any smaller children over, in his excitement to say hello. His new family must be willing to work on his basic training and we would recommend training classes to help with this. He will need a fully enclosed garden with 6ft fences.
Trailhounds are very adaptable dogs who make very good family pets. They have fantastic temperaments and tend to be great around children, other dogs and other animals. They need plenty of exercise but in once in the home love nothing more than curling up in front of the fire. They do however, love a smell.. so their noses are likely to be found centimetres off the ground, so recall often needs some work. They are relatively quick learners who are highly motivated by food.
