Dylan came into WARS as a stray and we sadly not claimed. He is an absolutely adorable boy, who has stolen the heart of everyone he meets. He loves to meet new people and other dogs and very much like to be with either someone of the 2 legged or 4 legged variety, rather than alone. He is very sociable with other dogs and has already become firm friends with Kaz the trailhound. He is already starting to learn some basic commands and knows how to sit and his recall is coming along nicely to. He will require further training but will repay any training with bundles of affection.
Dylan will need an active home and could live with anther suitable dog and possibly a confident cat. He will need a fully enclosed garden with 6ft fences, where he can play and work on his basic training. We would recommend his new family take him to training classes, to aid with his basic training and continued socialisation.
Dylan is a Lurcher type. Lurchers are crossbreeds so their temperaments and behaviours can be influenced by other breed traits. Like most Lurchers, he enjoys a good snooze in front of the fire in between racing around the garden. Being young, he is still learning but is bright and eager to learn more so dog training classes would be strongly advised. He, like many Lurcher types can have a strong prey drive so it’s important that this is channeled in the right way.
