The President Barbara Hardwick gave a speech in which she praised the team of Fundraisers and paid tribute to the wonderful work done by Alex, Sally and Abi in running the Shelter. She then outlined future plans for the Shelter.

Mrs Jean Sainsbury of the Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust was then invited to unveil the handsome plaque which will eventually hang at the end of the kennel block. Here Mrs Sainsbury is being presented with a bouquet.

Committee member Francis Viles has painted these eye-catching representations of how we hope the Shelter will look in the future.

As well as another kennel block you can see a cattery, a house for the Site Manager and a surgery - but all of this will need more money!
