Dexter finds himself at WARS as sadly his family could no longer care for him. He a lovely, cheeky chappy, who does lack some confidence around other dogs. He hasnt had much socilisation in his life because of this. His new owners will have to take him on knowing that he needs some gentle exposure to this through the guidance of the staff here at WARS. I am sure over time Dexter might be able to live with a suitable dog.
Dexter is a really well rounded dog, he loves both children and adults. He very much wants to be the center of attention so if your looking for an independent dog, Dexter is may not be the one for you.
Like most small dogs he does have a set of lungs on him and he can do some chirps here and there for attention. With that in mind, he shouldn’t be left for more than 4 hours at most.
Currently on foster, with view to rehome
Dexter could live with children 8+ and would be best as the only pet in the home but could possibly live with an indifferent dog with some guidance from staff here at WARS. He would need a family who are able to take him to socialsation classes to help his confidence around other dogs.
