Faith was rehomed in December 2008.
Here is a picture of Faith in our kitchen - we've got loads and it's difficult to know which to send. She's being ever such a good girl - she went through the whole night last night without any accidents for the first time so hopefully we might be winning. She's so full of fun and loves cuddles and she made our Christmas very special.
On the naughty side - she's had all my pansies out of the pots, isn't that lovely? Oh, and she reckoned the azalea could do with a bit of a prune! We haven't been able to take her up the Hills yet because of the weather but she's getting used to walking round here and ignoring the cars.
Ty
Ty was rehomed in December 2008.
Just thought we would drop you a line to let you know that Ty has settled in really well - we can't believe he's only been with us for a week as it seems like he's been part of our family forever!! He's putting on weight nicely, and is walking perfectly on a lead.
The children love
him to bits, and are giving loads of exercise - the only worrying thing now is
whether their ball throwing arms can keep up with his boundless
energy!
Thanks to all at WARS for looking after Ty during his time with you. Here are a couple of pics showing just how comfortable he is.
Marvin (formerly Storm) was rehomed in September 2008.
Marvin has settled in really well with his new best friend Jake who was rehomed earlier this year.
Jess was rehomed in September 2008.
Thought you might like to know how Jess is getting on. She has been with us for only a week, but it seems like she has always been here as she has settled in so quickly. Jess is an absolute delight, she is very sweet natured and loves everyone and everyone loves her. The boys adore her and they all enjoy a cuddle which of course she can't get enough of. Her only vice was pulling on the lead but we bought her a halti and it's a miracle she just stopped pulling and now trots by our side. We all held our breath when we first let Jess run free off the lead. But we needn't have worried because she didn't stray far, and found out quite quickly that when you come back you get a nice piece of cheese!

Winston
Winston was rehomed in September 2008.
Thought we would send you an update and some more photos of Winston.
This morning he suddenly got aggressive when he saw his reflection in a mirror in our bedroom (he's been admiring himself in it all week!). Lots of growling and barking, and then he ran away! Unfortunately he was weeing at the same time so it made a bit of a mess!
Generally though he has been good, we knew it would take some time for all of us to adjust. Our biggest concern is whether we are too quiet for him, he is getting lots of exercise but is still on the go every minute. Sometimes we like to just chill out in the
evenings!
We've been for a lovely walk around Caldicot Castle. We met a Dalmatian bitch and Winston got very excited but was very good. We have found that he doesn't like early starts or the dark. During the week we normally have to wake him up for his morning walk and breakfast! He much prefers the weekend when we have a lie in, and especially enjoys cuddling up on our bed!
He is currently sat by the desk chewing up an old slipper and he said to send you all a big kiss!
Harvey
Harvey was rehomed in August 2008.
Harvey the Dalmatian has settled in very well as you can see from the photos. He has a super new home with plenty of comfortable spaces... and cuddles.
No doubt he is the best dressed Dalmatian in Worcestershire! Love the hat Harvey!
Charlie
Bella
Bella, previously Belle was rehomed in December 2008.
Just thought we would let you know how Bella is doing, she has settled down really well and is a very welcome addition to the family. She is still very nervous of people she doesn't know, but i'm sure given time she will get better.
She really enjoys her walks around the farm along with Charlie our
other dog, she walks a lot better now without pulling. Her coat is now in really
good condition, she has put on weight & looks really healthy. She is
a very obedient dog & loves nothing better than learning new tricks.

Holly
Ozzy was rehomed in October 2008.
Ozzy loves living here he's loved by everyone who meets him and he's the best companion anyone could wish for. His toys fill the garden and I'm sure Santa will bring him more!
He sends best wishes to all the carers at the shelter and to all other animals there and everywhere. He hopes everyone, carers and animals have a great Christmas and a great new year and that all rescued animals find a caring homes like he has.

Hey thought I’d give you an update on Holly since she has now settled into our family life.
I adopted my lovely 10 year old baby girl in November when I found out that no one had shown any interest in her since she’d been at WARS (11 months!!!).
At first, when I was thinking about getting a dog, I was looking at getting a younger one but fell in love with Holly at first sight and now wouldn’t change her for the world!
When I first got Holly I must admit she was a bit of a handful, she snapped, bit and thought she was the boss of everyone and everything; when she didn’t get her own way she’d go in a grump - like a spoilt child… but now you wouldn’t recognise her!
She has changed so much and is such an intelligent beautiful dog. In a short space of time after we got her (about 2 weeks) she had learnt to walk off the lead and stay by our side, sit at the side of the road before crossing and lots more!!!
She loves her fusses and cuddles and if she had the chance she would go out walking all day as she loves to be outside sniffing and running around. She still loves her squeakers and drives us up the wall with them and every night without fail she will jump up on the sofa for us to play tug of war with her.

Everyone seems to love to cuddle him. Got a couple more teddy toys which he really likes and chews. I think he is still quite young as he displays puppy type behaviour. Still getting on with fencing, will be nice to let him roam the first section of the garden.
Going to buy a bigger turkey for Christmas so he can have a nice meal on the day.
Smashing and lovely dog. Losing weight with all the exercise! Will have to bring him back to visit.

Charlie was rehomed in August 2008.He has a caring 'mum' in Daisy, an 8 year old Springer Spaniel (rehomed May 2008), a running and chasing pal in Phoebe, a young Lurcher (rehomed October 2007) and from Terence, a 14 year old Jack Russell (rescued 1994) who tries desperately not to show how much he likes the little pup, some special 'grumpy old man' training!
Charlie is a little softie who loves kisses and cuddles and has made the 16 paw family sofa complete... at least for now!
Duke
Duke was rehomed in July 2008.
Duke has settled in really well. He's put on a little weight and, according to the vet's nurse is his ideal weight.
His favourite game is 'catch' although he's quite keen on football too. Everyone that comes through the front door is greeted with a ball! He loves playing over the field and in the wood and always goes to greet other dogs. He's a big softie, and will sometimes run away from them.
When he first came to live here we had an old, blind cat and a kitten. As you can see from the photos, he quickly made friends with both. Unfortunately, Jezebel had a rather nasty tumour and had to be put to sleep but spent much of his last weeks on the sofa with 'his dog'.
We have since adopted 2 more rescue kittens and, although I think they get on his nerves sometimes, he's fantastic with them and always checking that they're ok. He'll even stand back and let them steal his food if they get bored with their own!
Everyone who meets Duke can't believe what a good-looking, well behaved dog he is and what a good temperament he has. We're very lucky to have found such an awesome dog.

Zak was rehomed in June 2008.Just thought I would send an update on Zak. He has really settled well now although the cats are still staying well away from him.
He makes us laugh with some of his funny ways, like his favourite squeaky monkey and sleeping on the sofa when he thinks we are all in bed.
He loves his walks more than anything and squeaks and squeaks if he thinks we are getting ready to take him out. He is still very edgy around other dogs most of the time, so we keep him on the lead in town, but up at the fields we let him free with a long training lead (just in case something catches his eye).
He is still a big cuddly bear in the house but definitely fitter and leaner.
Jake
Jake was rehomed in May 2008.
Jake the Lurcher is now enjoying his life with his new family, as you can see he loves to go to the beach and play in all the open spaces.

Daisy was rehomed in May 2008.Despite being diagnosed with an aggressive Mast Cell cancer which gives her a 'chewing a gobstopper' kind of look, and really bad hips, Daisy and her ever increasing doggy family (Phoebe rehomed October 2007, Terence rescued 1994 and now Charlie, rehomed August 2008) now spend most of their days chasing each other around the garden, and climbing trees; much to the annoyance of the local bird population!
Daisy is a fantastic addition to our home and we are so very lucky that she found us!
Elliott
Elliot (previously Basil) was rehomed in March 2008.
Just thought I would let you know Elliott has well and truly settled in, he is a lovely addition to our household and has helped us over a very bad time when we lost our little griff Harry this we will always be grateful for.
He has been no trouble and is so well behaved he puts our other dogs to
shame! Georgie loves him and follows him everywhere
like a shadow and loves cuddling up to him when on the rare occasions they sleep!
Thank you very much for letting us adopt Elliott, I hope from the attached photos you can see how happy he looks, I know how handsome you always thought he was Ben (bumface indeed).

As you can see she has settled in very well with her new family and it looks like she has made herself completely at home!
Freya,
previously known as Stitch (due to the DIY surgery which she suffered
before coming into WARS) was rehomed in February 2008.
The good news is that the stitches in her side are now out! The actual wound looks really good now, it's just where the stitches were that's a bit gunky and nasty. The vet said to clean it with salt water every so often, so that's what I've been doing - she's very good about it, doesn't even flinch.
Overall she's doing great and has settled in well - I'm really pleased with her! I've attached a couple of photos of her relaxing in her new home.

naughty but adorable collie, Collin.
He's settled in really well and just loves his runs in the woods. After 7 or 8 hilly, muddy miles he still has the energy to play with his toys when he gets back in to our garden.
We don't think he has any future as a working farm dog though - he seems to be scared of sheep :) !!

Raffa was rehomed in January 2008.
Raffa was rehomed in January 2008.He really is a super dog and a fantastic addition to our family. We can't
believe he was ever in a dogs home nor the fact that he was the first dog we saw
when we decided to adopt one.
He is obedient, very loving, good with people and other dogs, he retrieves a ball or stick all day long, we can walk him off lead, he doesn't bark, doesn't chew furniture or anything bad at all. The only clues we have of his former mistreatment is his badly healed broken leg (which doesn't seem to bother him), and his occasional cowering when strangers call to the house.
We walk him twice a day and he's been on holiday with us to Devon, Cornwall and the Lake District already and he was fine in cottages at each place too.
He really is perfect and we're very grateful to WARS for introducing him to us.
