Dog Success Stories 2007

Rosie
Rosie had been at the shelter for 214 days. She finally found a home just before Christmas with the help of German Shepherd Rescue.

Her owners are experienced with Shepherd and fell in love as soon as they saw her.

All the staff and volunteers are so pleased for her as all she wanted was a fire to sleep by and someone to love her.

Geoff
Geoff was rehomed in December 2007 just in time for Christmas!

He is loving his new home and enjoys playing fetch with sticks, as you can see if you put your mouse over his photo.

He is still curious about cats... he hasn't yet found one who likes him!

Bunty
Bunty (previously Nora) was rehomed in November 2007 and has just celebrated her first anniversary in her new home.
She didn't have a party, she had a blog-posting instead, which is here:

http://relativelyretiring.blogspot.com/

She is a very popular girl, and loves everyone except cats (oh, and rats!).

Phoebe
Phoebe was re-homed in October 2007 as is now one of the family.

She is now living with her new best friend, a little terrier called Terence.

She also has a toilet roll fetish for some reason, as you can see by placing your mouse over her photo

She has settled in really well and is getting the spoil she deserves.

June
June was re-homed from the shelter in September 2007.

She has settled in very well and has made herself quite at home.

Casper
Casper was re-homed in August 2007.

Hello Everyone!

I thought I would let you know how I am getting on since leaving you in 2007. Life here in the Welsh borders is great fun; I go for two long walks every day and always enjoy the mysteries of the fields and country lanes around my home; I love to chase the rabbits and jump in water whenever possible - it keeps me super fit...although I do like a long snooze if possible in the day too...old habits. I like checking the perimeter of my garden and barking at the occasional car as it goes by. I have learnt some tricks and always get spoilt and have my tummy tickled if a look suitably soppy. I have included some pictures of me on guard duty ....grrrrr

Thanks again for looking after me,    love Casper

Dasha
Dasha was rehomed in June 2007.

Although his new family fenced their garden, for the first few weeks he succeeded in escaping quite regularly to the local pub across the road and even finished up behind the bar!

This is a photo taken in the pub's garden by one of the regulars.

He has now calmed down and is well behaved and no longer escapes but still likes to pop across the road for a "drink" and attention.

Bailey
Bailey was re-homed from the shelter in May 2007.

Here you can see him with his new best friend called Danny.

This picture was taken just after a holiday to the beach so as you can see they were rather tired!

Chelsea
Chelsea was re-homed in May 2007 and has settled in really well in her new home.

She now has a home with lots of doggy visitors (mostly from WARS) and gets spoilt rotten!

She has had a couple of problems since being re-homed but is now the perfect dog.

Max
Here you can see Max enjoying his walk.

Max was re-homed in April 2007 and is really enjoying his new life.

His new owners are so pleased with him and are very grateful he is now theirs.

Joe
Joe was re-homed in March 2007.

Unfortunately Joe spent a long time at the kennels and did not cope very well whilst with us.

Luckily for him he got spotted by a young couple who fell in love. They have worked very hard with Joe to make him into a very loving and devoting dog.

He enjoys his walks and playing with other dogs, his best friends are two Greyhounds.

Billy
Billy was re-homed in January 2007 and has settled in really well in his new home.

His new owners say that they couldn't have wished for more.

Here you can see him relaxing in the garden and looking very happy.
