Coraline came into WARS after she was squatting in a student house. The students took care of her but when they moved out they brought her to us to help find her a forever home. She is a sweet little cat with an independent streak. She likes to meet new people but once she has used and abused and got her fuss and treats, she’ll wander off to do her own thing.
Coraline will like a home with children 12+. Once settled she will want the freedom to come and go as she pleases and the freedom to wander outside if she wants. We feel she would be best as the only pet.
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch mat or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home.
