Millie and Cleo find themselves at WARS through no fault of their own. They are a shy pair but are slowly growing in confidence. They will usually give you a squeak as a hello and a Dreamie can help to tempt them out. Don’t be put off by their shyness though. With time, patience and the right home, they will make a wonderful addition to a family.
Cleo and Millie will need to be rehomed together. They have previously lived with children so could do so again, as long as the children are calm and give the cats time and space to settle. Having not previously been outside, they would need to be indoor only cats and would be best as the only pets in the home.
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch mat or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home.
