Branston came in to the shelter from a home as he wasn’t coping in such a busy household. He is a really well rounded dog as his previous owners have put a lot of training time in to him. Just like most collies he is very intelligent and needs a lot of stimulation. He is bred from a working ancestry and therefore will need more than just daily walks. Branston is mad for agility and would need a home that is willing to take him to these classes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_agility
He is a very cuddly culddly softie boy who will lean on you for scratches and ear rubs. He is the best of both worlds as he wants to go on long walks but then cuddle up for the evening.
As Branston is a boarder collie he will need to live a very active lifestyle with agility classes being one of those activities. He is very intelligent and needs puzzle games throughout the day, lots of interaction and fuss. Branston has lived with children but cannot cope with fast movement or loud noises, therefore he will be looking for a home with 18+ members of the house hold. He would be fine being left but for no longer than 4 hours. Branston does have fear around other dogs but manages it really well. He has a tolerance around them until they enter his personal space. This is easily managed, however, due to this he needs too be the only pet in the household.
Criteria that must be met to be suitable for Branstons forever home:
With Branston being a Collie, he is an intelligent boy who is loyal and very active. He likes to be busy, using his nose to track down a tennis ball that you have hidden away for him to find. He does pick up new commands easily
