Bolt came into WARS after being found as a stray and sadly no owner came forward. When she first came in she was very nervous, either hiding away or running up the walls. With a calm gentle approach she soon settled in and how just loves her neck and ear rubs. She can still be a little shy and definitely needs time to get to know and trust people.
Currently out on foster
Bolt will need a quiet home, either with adults only or calm, confident children. She will want eventual access to the outdoors once she has settled in.
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch mat or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home
