Bob has come into WARS after being retired from racing. He is a bit of a gentle giant and loves meeting new people and is currently enjoying play times with our other trailhound Gem. Even though he is a little older, he certainly doesn’t look it or act it. Like most trailhounds he will need some basic training and continued socialisation. He is a lovely boy would make a great addition to a home.
Bob could live with another suitable dog, however not cats. He would need a fully enclosed garden with minimum 6ft fences. He will need some training, so will want a family willing to do this. He could live with children 12+.
Trailhounds are very adaptable dogs who make very good family pets. They have fantastic temperaments and tend to be great around children, other dogs and other animals. They need plenty of exercise but in once in the home love nothing more than curling up in front of the fire. They do however, love a smell.. so their noses are likely to be found centimetres off the ground, so recall often needs some work. They are relatively quick learners who are highly motivated by food.
