Bailey has come into WARS due to a change in family circumstances meant he was being left alone for a long time. He is a young bouncy boy who has an excitement for life and everything it involves. He walks well on a lead but will put the breaks on if he does not want to go somewhere. He has already made friends with our volunteers, loving the long walks off site, and also has a girlfriend on site called Katie. As you can see from the video above he loves to play and chase.

Bailey will need a fully enclosed garden with at least a 6ft fence surrounding. He could live with another dog however no cats or small furries. He would benefit from dog training classes and socialisation classes, which we are sure he would thoroughly enjoy. An experienced lurcher home would be beneficial as he is a big lad, so will need owners who understand his breed and characteristics.
Lurchers are crossbreeds so their temperaments and behaviors can be influenced by other breed traits. However, most including Bailey enjoy racing around for a few minutes followed by a lie down in front of the fire. He like most Lurcher types is easy going, gentle, affectionate and very loyal.
