April came into WARS back in March, with her 3 young kittens. She has done such a great job raising them and now it is her turn to look for her new home. She is a friendly, chatty girl who loves affection and fuss. Being a long haired cat, she does need regular grooming to keep her looking in tip top condition.
We feel that April would be best suited as an only pet. She will want eventual access to the outside once she has settled for a few weeks. She could live with children 8+ and will need regular grooming.
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch mat or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home.
