These 5 kittens came in to us after being found dumped with their mum. They are all very nervous, especially the 2 girls. They are very slowly becoming braver, but it is taking alot of time and patience. They are not happy about being handled at this time, we do hope in time this will change, but they may always be slightly nervous.
Due to their nervousness, we will be rehoming in 2 pairs and possibly 1 single, or a pair and a 3.
Due to their nervousness, these kittens can’t live with young children, we would suggest children 14+. They could possibly live with another suitable, cat friendly cat, but probably not dogs. They will need homes who understand they are nervous and may always be nervous in some form, but we hope in the right, calm, patient home they will improve. We are looking to rehome this litter as 2 pairs and 1 single (male) or a pair and a 3.
Just like dogs it is important to introduce your new cat slowly into its new environment. Choose a safe place that is traffic free to initially settle them in and provide plenty of toys for them to play and chase. Providing a scratch matt or post will help discourage them from doing so on your furniture. Until the cat has settled it is important that the cat is kept indoors for a number of weeks. This along with grooming and interactive play will help develop your bond and ensure the cat is happy and settled in its new home.
